Q: How much is your oil change?

A: Our oil change is $39.99 and includes an oil filter and 5 quarts of conventional oil. We also top off all of the fluids on your vehicle, check your tire pressure, and you receive a free car wash that you can use anytime.

Q: Why do I need to change my oil and how often is it recommended?

A: Over time oil breaks down and loses the ability to clean and lubricate the surfaces of the engine. Oil base does not break down, but additives like friction modifiers, anti-foaming agents and corrosion and rust inhibitors do causing premature wear and possible failure of your engine. Most major oil companies recommend changing your oil every 3,000 miles or 3 months whichever comes first under severe driving conditions.

Q: What are Severe Driving Conditions?

A: Severe driving conditions include stop and go traffic, short trips of 10 miles or less, driving on dusty or gravel roads, and extreme cold or hot conditions. Over 90% of drivers fall into this category.

Q: How do you determine your service intervals?

A: We follow the service intervals recommended by the manufacturer of the vehicle. The only store recommendations we have are for the Fuel System Cleaner and Power Steering Flush services.

Q: How long does your oil change take?

A: The oil change will take about 10 minutes. Skid plates or 4wd vehicles will take additional time.

Q: How often should I change my Air Filter?

A: Replacement intervals depend on driving conditions, but generally between 10,000 and 15,000 miles. Some air filters can last up to 30,000 miles.

Q: What is a Cabin Air Filter?

A: It is a filter located in your heating and cooling system that filters out allergens and airborne contaminants from entering the cab of your vehicle. They are generally located behind the glove box or firewall of the vehicle.

Q: Why should I replace my coolant?

A: Like oil, coolant can break down over time. Good coolant helps maintain proper engine temperature, lubricate the water pump and prevents rust and corrosion. Bad coolant can cause rust and other contaminants to build up in your cooling system preventing proper coolant flow. Replacing your coolant prevents that from happening.

Q: Why should I replace my Automatic Transmission Fluid?

A: Transmission fluid like motor oil breaks down over time losing its ability to clean, lubricate and cool the transmission. Replacing your transmission fluid will extend the life of your transmission preventing premature failure.

Q: Why should I replace my Gear Box Fluid?

A: Gear Oil properties break down over time and lose their ability to properly lubricate the gears and bearings inside the housing. It is important to keep the fluid clean to extend the life of your differential or gear box.

Q: What is the difference between GL5 and GL4?

A: GL5 has different additives that can eat away at soft metals like copper and brass. You can only use what is called for. If the manual allows both, use GL5.

Q: Why should I flush my Power Steering Fluid?

A: Power steering fluid has the same properties as ATF and breaks down in the same way losing its ability to clean and lubricate. Changing the fluid extends the life of your Power Steering System.

Q: Why should I Replaced my Fuel Filter?

A: Modern Fuel Injection Systems require a certain amount of fuel pressure to run properly. A semi- clogged fuel filter can keep your car running but if it is not providing the proper flow, you can lose power and even fuel mileage.

Q: Why should I clean my fuel system?

A: Fuel Injectors have very small tips that can become clogged and sacrifice power, mileage and overall performance of your vehicle. Our method cleans your entire system from the tank to the injectors.

Q: Why is there water in my diesel fuel filter?

A: Gas and Diesel has water is it naturally, but diesel fuel filters must filter contaminants AND water out of the fuel as diesel engines depend on the fuel for internal lubrication. Changing the fuel filter itself does not drain the water separator. Water is heavier than diesel so it will sit in a reservoir or bowl at the bottom of the filter until drained.

Q: Why should I flush my transmission?

A: If your vehicle is overdue on the transmission service and the fluid is burnt or contaminated, flushing the system is recommended and will replace 100% of the fluid. Our standard service keeps up your vehicles warranty, but flushing the entire system is a more thorough service for your vehicle and will protect your transmission better against future breakdown.

Q: Can I upgrade my free car wash?

A: Yes you can. Just pay the difference of $3 at the Car Wash when you redeem your coupon.

Q: How can you tell if my serpentine belt is worn? Why should I replace it?

A: If the belt has more than 4 cracks per inch then it is time to replace it. The serpentine belt runs every accessory on your vehicle (alternator, AC pump, water pump, power steering pump) and must be kept up to prevent break down.

Q: How much is the oil change if I bring my own oil and filter?

A: You receive a credit of $3.99 for your filter and $8.00 for your oil. If you bring both the total would be $25.00

Q: What is a Differential?

A: A Differential is a gear box on your vehicle that transfers power to your wheels and allows the wheels to turn at different speeds.

Q: What is a Transfer Case?

A: A Transfer Case is the gear box that transfers power to the front differential in 4wd vehicles.

Q: What is a Final Drive?

A: A final drive is a differential and axle assembly on some front wheel drive or all wheel drive cars. It is connected to the transmission and transfers the power to the front wheels of the vehicle.


Consumer purchasers of automotive filters are sometimes told by an automobile dealer’s service writer or mechanic that a brand of replacement filter cannot be used in the consumer’s vehicle during the warranty period. The claim is made that only the original equipment brand of filters may be used. This, of course, tends to cast doubt on the quality of the replacement filter.

That claim is simply not true. If the consumer asks for the statement in writing, he will not receive it. Nevertheless, the consumer may feel uneasy about using replacement filters that are not original equipment. With the large number of do-it-yourselfers who prefer to install their own filters, this misleading claim should be corrected.

Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, 15 U.S.C SS 2301-2312 (1982), and general principles of the Federal Trade Commission Act, a manufacturer may not require the use of any brand of filter (or any other article) unless the manufacturer provides the item free of charge under the terms of the warranty.

So if the consumer is told that only the original equipment filter will not void the warranty, he should request that the OE filter be supplied free of charge. If he is charged for the filter, the manufacturer will be violating the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act or other applicable law.

By providing this information to consumers, the Filter Manufacturers Council can help combat the erroneous claim that a brand of replacement filter other than original equipment will ‘void the warranty’.

It should be noted that the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is a federal law that applies to consumer products. The Federal Trade Commission has authority to enforce the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, including obtaining injunctions and orders containing affirmative relief. In addition, a consumer can bring suit under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
